Henan ZongXiang Heavy Industry Import & Export Co., Ltd. has marked a significant milestone in international rail fastening trade by exporting 5,000 sets of premium 7116 rail clamps to Malaysia. This October 2025 shipment, valued at $750,000 and weighing 25 tons, highlights ZongXiang's expertise in DIN-standard components amid Malaysia's infrastructure renaissance. As the nation invests heavily in ports, cranes, and urban rail under its Shared Prosperity Vision 2030, demand for reliable fasteners has surged, positioning ZongXiang as a trusted partner in bridging supply gaps exacerbated by global disruptions.

The 7116 rail clamp is a cornerstone of crane rail systems, designed to anchor A45, A55, or P43 rails securely to concrete sleepers or steel beams. Its robust U-bolt configuration, forged from Q235B carbon steel with a minimum tensile strength of 370-500 MPa, includes M20 bolts, high-strength nuts, and anti-loosening washers. Hot-dip galvanized to ASTM A153 standards, it resists corrosion in Malaysia's saline coastal environments, enduring 500-hour salt fog tests. Each set supports static loads up to 150 kN and dynamic forces of 80 kN, with a patented clip mechanism that distributes stress evenly, minimizing rail head wear by 35% and vibration-induced fatigue. Installation is streamlined—requiring just 10 minutes per set versus 25 for older designs—complying with EN 10025 and ISO 898 standards for safety in overhead traveling cranes and gantry systems.

Driven by projects like the Pan Borneo Highway extensions and Port of Tanjung Pelepas upgrades, Malaysian buyers sought ZongXiang's clamps for their cost-effectiveness and quality assurance. "These fasteners embody precision engineering for uninterrupted operations," said Sales Director Wang Lei during the loading at Shanghai Port. Produced in ZongXiang's automated lines in Xinxiang, the batch passed stringent QA: ultrasonic flaw detection, hardness checks (HB 180-220), and load simulations, yielding a flawless 100% acceptance rate under TUV certification.

The supply chain exemplified efficiency. Steel blanks from Tangshan were drop-forged, CNC-machined for exact tolerances (±0.5mm), and assembled with torque-controlled riveting. Packaged in rust-proof pallets with VCI paper, the cargo rail-freighted 900 km to Shanghai, then shipped via the MV Asia Bridge on a 5-day route through the Luzon Strait. Under the China-Malaysia Free Trade Agreement, HS code 7318.15 enabled duty-free entry at Penang Port, with digital manifests accelerating clearance. ZongXiang's affiliate, MalSteel Dynamics, managed trucking to sites in Selangor, where clamps will fortify A45 rail setups in a semiconductor fab's material handling system, enhancing efficiency by 25%.

ZongXiang prioritizes eco-innovation: clamps use 30% scrap steel, and manufacturing leverages solar-powered furnaces, slashing energy use by 20%. Complementary services included 3D installation guides, virtual training on preload torquing (100-140 Nm), and spare parts kits, empowering local technicians.

This export fuels bilateral trade, adding to China's 10% rail accessory export growth while spurring Malaysia's logistics sector with 200 new jobs. Freight hikes from supply chain bottlenecks were countered via long-term carrier deals. Following the A45 rail success, feedback lauds the 7116's "unyielding grip," with zero slippage in prototype tests under 40g accelerations.

Prospects gleam with smart clamp variants featuring strain gauges for IoT monitoring. ZongXiang's delivery cements enduring ties, clamping rails to progress in a connected ASEAN.
