Henan ZongXiang Heavy Industry Import & Export Co., Ltd., a leading Chinese manufacturer and exporter of steel rails and railway accessories, has successfully completed the export of 26 pieces of QU100 crane rail to the Republic of Zambia. The shipment, finalized in late November 2025, marks another milestone in the company’s expanding presence in the African mining and industrial sectors.

The QU100 crane rail, weighing approximately 89 kg per meter and produced to Chinese national standard YB/T 5055-2014, is widely recognized as one of the most popular heavy-duty crane rail specifications globally. With its high load-bearing capacity, excellent wear resistance, and stable performance under heavy dynamic loads, QU100 rail is the preferred choice for overhead gantry cranes, port cranes, and large-scale material handling equipment in mining, smelting, and logistics operations.

The Zambian client, a major copper mining and processing enterprise in the Copperbelt Province, selected ZongXiang after a rigorous supplier evaluation process that included factory audits, sample testing, and price-performance comparisons. The order consisted of 26 pieces of 12-meter standard length QU100 rail, totaling over 31 meters in length and weighing approximately 27.7 metric tons. All rails were manufactured from high-quality U71Mn hot-rolled steel with precise dimensional tolerances and underwent ultrasonic flaw detection to ensure zero internal defects.

To meet the client’s urgent project timeline, ZongXiang accelerated production and completed manufacturing, anti-corrosion coating, and third-party inspection (SGS) within just 18 days. The rails were carefully packaged with steel straps and protective end caps to prevent damage during long-distance transportation. The goods were shipped from Qingdao Port via 40-foot open-top containers and are expected to arrive at the Port of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, by mid-December 2025, before final inland transport to Zambia.
