The shipment, which departed from Qingdao Port in late November 2025, marks another milestone in the company’s growing presence in the Southeast Asian market and underscores China’s continued role as a key supplier of high-quality steel products for industrial and port development projects across the region.

The A55 crane rail, conforming to the European DIN 536-1 standard, is specifically designed for heavy-duty overhead and gantry cranes commonly used in ports, steel mills, shipyards, and large-scale warehouses. With a weight of 55.0 kg per meter and a low-profile head design, the A55 profile offers excellent load distribution, superior wear resistance, and enhanced stability under repeated high-impact loads. Malaysian buyers particularly value its dimensional precision and the availability of matching clip systems that simplify installation and maintenance.

This order was placed by a major logistics and port operator in Johor, southern Malaysia, which is currently expanding its container terminal capacity to accommodate rising transshipment volumes between the Strait of Malacca and regional feeder routes. The client cited ZongXiang’s competitive pricing, short lead times, and consistent product quality as decisive factors in awarding the contract over European and domestic alternatives.

All 500 tons of rail were produced at ZongXiang’s modern rolling facility in Xinxiang, Henan Province, using continuous-cast billets and undergoing rigorous ultrasonic testing, hardness inspection, and dimensional verification in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards. Each length was 12 meters, hot-rolled from U71Mn high-carbon steel, and coated with anti-corrosion primer suitable for tropical marine environments. The company also supplied complementary accessories including sole plates, elastic clips, and rubber pads to ensure a complete turnkey solution.

Logistics coordination was handled seamlessly through a long-term partnership with COSCO Shipping Specialized Carriers. The rails were loaded into 40-foot open-top containers with custom cradles to prevent deformation during the 20-day sea voyage. Upon arrival at Port Klang in mid-December 2025, Malaysian customs clearance was expedited under the China-Malaysia Free Trade Agreement framework, minimizing delays and costs for the importer.
